I was stunned to see the twisted roots of sage, whose colorful, dainty blooms I have long admired. I had always assumed something akin to that of a tree branch such as I am used to seeing, but when nature and mankind had cleared sage brush away, I knew I had found a treasure to share with others who, like I, had been kept in the dark as to the unseen beauty of the sage undergrowth. How many years can we guess as to the existence of this awe-inspiring beauty ?
