TODAY

Then there were two!

YESTERDAY . . .

...held a lot of gray, but a suppertime walk to the mailbox held this bit of brightness:HARISON'S ROSE & BUD.
Within a couple of hours, this sunset scene appeared through our open garage door!
Yesterday . . .
but also captured in living colors for today!

TIME FLIES!

These four pictures are taken a minute apart; it's astounding how quickly the morning/evening lights change when one is held up for even a "short time" to put shoes on or let the dogs out before you grab the camera and go find your spot! Time is important folks!

BEAUTIFUL BLUE PLUMBAGO

We were at West Texas Medical Associates a few days back. The Plumbago was just waiting for my camera and me. This is the loveliest shade of blue ~ almost impossible to match with pens, pencils, or any mediums I've yet used. Sometimes one simply has to sit back and enjoy the view! Please do so.

CATALPA BLOOMS and MORE

From the first time we "met", catalpa blooms and I have meshed! How very beautiful are these dainty blossoms!

Recently, I had reason to notice that the catalpa tree itself held its own form of beauty. It was
then I knew I HAD to share  both the flowers AND the wood of the tree with you!

IT PAYS TO TAKE AN EVENING WALK!

One evening a friend and I walked a little further than I generally go. It has made me smile ever since in that it has also given me more to share with all of you!

OH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

For the first time ever, two blooms at once appeared on my hibiscus plant this morning. I had to smile as I noticed that with our bit of a rain storm, Matthew 5:45 ran though my mind, "He sends rain on the just and on the unjust." One bloom had lots of rain drops; the other was completely dry!

As the day was drawing to a close, I was out briefly and saw this beautiful scene. It was a reminder of a song I often heard my mother sing that carried a message with an uplifting nature:
"Back of the clouds, the sun is always shining.
Back of the clouds, it's waiting to shine through;
God has prepared a  rosy tinted lining,
Back of the clouds, it's waiting to shine through."
(The Internet has several versions; this is the closest to how I recall my mother's words.)

HAPPY 4TH FROM OUR SAN ANGELO

This is the way several places of our city decorate in celebration of the freedoms we have. Please, let us, each one, choose to appreciate all we have with thanksgiving, first to our GREAT CREATOR, and then to THOSE WHO HAVE FOUGHT TO SETTLE AND TO KEEP THIS COUNTRY FREE.

MORE FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD

To top off the attractive yard displays, other neighbors gave me free reign with their beautiful
hot pink bouganvillea and their yellow bells.
So much fun for me!

Although I said "hot pink", I
hope you take delight in the amazing
color combinations in these blooms.
I am truly thankful for the generosity
displayed by our neighbors.

Just see the beauty in the colors
contained in this scene!
